This insurance indemnifies the Insured against any physical loss or damage to the electronic equipments like Computers, Process Control Equipment, Telecommunication Equipment, etc., against the risks of fire, lighting, explosion, Earthquake and such other natural calamities, electrical/mechanical breakdown, faulty design, faulty material besides damage of equipments due to negligence of employees, riot and strike, malicious damage, loss or damage due to burglary/housebreaking and theft. The term “computer” here shall include the entire computer system comprising of CPU, Key Board and Monitor. The other items such as Printer, Stabilizer, UPS etc., are to be treated separately.
Special Contingency Policy Covering Your Laptops (within India)
This Policy is a standardized Policy and it is All Risk Policy. The sum insured should represent the present replacement cost instead of invoice cost.
